LITTLE ROCK — The Clarke Tucker for Congress campaign announced today the endorsements of two of the state’s most highly-regarded Arkansas Democratic political leaders. Former Governor Mike Beebe and former Governor and U.S. Senator David Pryor have officially thrown their support behind Clarke Tucker in Arkansas’s 2nd Congressional race.
“Clarke Tucker is innovative, hard-working, and effective,” former Gov. Beebe said. “He has proven his commitment to standing up for working families here in Arkansas no matter what tries to stand in the way. That’s one of the many reasons I’m supporting him as our next representative in the U.S. Congress.”
Governor Beebe left office in 2014 after winning every one of Arkansas’s 75 counties in his re-election bid for Governor.
“You could tell, even from a young age, that Clarke was going to do great things for Arkansas,” former Sen. David Pryor said. “He has always worked to improve the lives of those around him, and he really let that show in his work in the state legislature where he fought for important issues like pre-K education, health care, and support for our veterans. I’m excited to cast my ballot for Clarke and look forward to watching him continue his work from his U.S. Congressional seat.”
Former Sen. David Pryor held four political offices during his career: State House of Representatives member, U.S. Congressman, Governor, and U.S. Senator.
