LITTLE ROCK — Clarke Tucker, Democratic candidate for Arkansas’s 2nd Congressional District, is up with a new television ad this morning. The video shows Tucker responding to misleading claims made by two-term incumbent, Rep. French Hill, and sets the record straight on Tucker’s experience as a bipartisan dealmaker who has worked on behalf of Arkansans to protect health care, strengthen education, and empower entrepreneurs. In a move acknowledging the seriousness of Tucker’s candidacy, Rep. French Hill began attacking Tucker the day after Tucker scored a decisive victory in the May Democratic primary.
“If Congressman Hill starts his campaign by attacking me with a tired Washington talking point that he knows isn’t true, what does that tell you about his record?” Tucker said. “This race is not about national politicians, it’s about our families and our future here in Arkansas. That’s been my focus in the state legislature the last four years, that’s our focus in this campaign, and that will be my priority in U.S. Congress. No more politics of the past.”
The campaign said the video will be up on all four major broadcast stations, digital and social media platforms, and will run on these mediums for the foreseeable future.
